Antonio Goodman founded Convicts of Diversified Empowerment (C.O.D.E.), a non-profit organization that helps returning citizens find support.

Antonio knows the challenges of having to start over after incarceration. Ever since he was released in 2009, he has dedicated himself to helping returning citizens acquire the resources they need to thrive. C.O.D.E. became a registered 501(c)(3) organization in July 2020.

C.O.D.E. is dedicated to ending the disenfranchisement and discrimination against people with convictions. We implement a more comprehensive system that will assist in a successful reentry back into society.

C.O.D.E. has grown into a coalition that represents compassion and community.

It began during the 2020 pandemic when members volunteered in food drives and other efforts to assist residents in need. The group continues to seek out opportunities to do good across Miami’s communities.

They also partner with other community organizations, such as the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, to support returning citizens and advocate for their rights.

Antonio also launched a business called Goodman Development Group, a real estate entity that provides safe, quality housing for returning citizens, veterans, those coming out of group homes, foster care and other houseless individuals and families.

Goodman Development Group is in its early stages and looking for partners and investors. To learn more about Goodman Development Group and get involved, contact Antonio directly at GoodmanDevelopmentGroup@gmail.com
